In-Service Education
All caregivers are required to have at least two years of experience upon hire and complete a comprehensive orientation. We emphasize ongoing education through in-service training on topics such as:
- Effective communication with hearing-impaired patients
- Caring for individuals on bedrest
- Recognizing elder abuse and neglect
- Cultural competence with SAGE
- Kosher practices
- Alzheimer’s education and certification
- Dementia care
- Diabetes management
- Fall prevention, infection control, and fire safety
